The first edition of the Media Master Cup, organized by News and Media Holding, attracted not only seasoned athletes to the courts, but also journalists who traded their pens for rackets for a while.

Many well-known personalities appeared on the courts, including former footballer Miroslav Karhan, Olympic shooting champion Zuzana Rehák-Štefečeková, bronze medal-winning slalom canoeist Matej Beňuš, hockey players Jaroslav Janus, Dárius Rusnák, Dávid Bus, TA3 presenter Branislav Kráľ, and many others.
