Tenisový klub Lokomotíva was never just a place for sports competition — it has always been a place where strong friendships were formed, human stories unfolded, and unforgettable moments were created.
With deep respect for this rich heritage and the stories that have taken place here over decades, we decided to bring the legendary Tournament of Personalities back to life.
The club once again came alive in the spirit of memories from the 1990s, when names such as Milan Lasica, Jozef Slezáček, Jozef Roman, and Milan Kňažko regularly appeared on the courts.
This year, competitors took part in six disciplines — tennis, table tennis, football, pickleball, darts, and chess — each with its own ambassador. Among them were Karin Habšudová, Samo Slovák, Viktória Kanichová, Jozef Gönci, and Braňo Kráľ.
The event also attracted many well-known personalities from the worlds of culture and sports. On the courts and in the sporting matches, we could see Filip Tůma, Nela Pocisková, Petra Polnišová, Emma Drobná, Richard Lintner, Helena Krajčiová, Juraj Burian, Marián Slovák, Rudolf Geri, Igor Novosad, Vladimír Kittler, Peter Kočiš, and many others, all of whom helped create a unique atmosphere.
The tournament culminated in an evening concert by pop legend Beáta Dubasová, who brought a perfect close to a day full of energy and good spirits.
The revived Tournament of Personalities once again united sport, art, and community.
It confirmed that the story of Lokomotíva truly continues and showed that its future is firmly rooted in its past.
